More about me
Growing up, I was an imaginative child; always playing pretend, crafting stories, and sharing them with anyone who would listen. I was raised on a family farm in rural North Carolina and often used the environment around me to influence the narratives I chose to tell. Flash forward 20-some years, and I'm still doing just that! At Wake Forest University, my love of storytelling led me to major in English, where I honed my writing skills in both the creative and technical capacities. Beyond academics, I was an active member of the Lilting Banshees Comedy Troupe, the university’s revered sketch comedy group. Over four years, I contributed to writing, producing, and performing original comedy sketches for packed student audiences. This experience not only honed my skills in collaboration, but also instilled a deep understanding of how humor can be a powerful tool for connecting with people. Working with a diverse group of creative individuals, I learned how to blend humor with authenticity, a key aspect of my creative process. This combination of experiences—rural roots, a strong foundation in writing, and a passion for humor—has shaped my professional goals, enabling me to bring a unique and multifaceted perspective to my work.
